Skiathos is 12 kilometres long, but the main area is concentrated between Papadiamantis Street, the old and the new harbour.
You can find many bars and restaurants with open-air tables along the harbour; in the main street there are many shops selling gifts, souvenirs, clothes and small places where you can eat gyros, souvlaki or a good ice-cream.
On the beaches of Skiathos you are able to practice various water sports such as water skiing and parasailing, or you could be dragged by a motorboat sitting on a big inflatable banana boat, or rent dinghies of various sizes.
You can also do many activities in and around the resort: yoga, outdoor gym, swimming, running and much more.
The resort has a green area overlooking the sea in all its majesty, ideal for yoga at sunrise or sunset.
The colours at such times of day are breathtaking, together with the chirping of birds, the gentle sound of flowing water and the wind in the leaves.
Completely immersed in nature, it will be easier to concentrate and meditate, while waiting to start a new day full of sea, sun, relaxation, and fun.
Next to the forest surrounding the resort we have set up an outdoor gym for a perfect muscle awakening in the morning or at any other time of day. Everything is made of wood and iron, because (once again) we want to underline our green soul.
This is the area of the resort designed to those who don’t want to give up working out even on holiday: in the morning, followed by an amazing breakfast with a view of the sea in our outdoor kitchens, or in the evening, with the coolness that helps with physical activity.
There are a lot ofbeaches on Skiathos (including Koukounaries, Agia Eleni, Kanapitsa) where you can play water games and sports.
Parasailing and water skiing are among the most popular, but you can also rent canoes and jet skis or, if you want something even more entertaining, especially for the younger ones, you can enjoy a ride on a banana boat or other inflatables.
If you are looking for something more interesting, you might consider scuba diving. Most of the diving centres are located on the southern side of the island, such as Koukounaries, Vromolimnos and Vassilias.
We recommend anyone coming on holiday to Skiathos to hire a boat. There are a lot of places on the island where you can do this, otherwise you can rent boats for half or full day on the beaches themselves. You will be given a map of the island and explained where you are allowed to go around by boat.
If you don’t want to rent a boat, you can always join one of the many tours offered by the different tourist boats along the harbour. There are various types: just spend the evening there, choose the one that suits you best and book it for the next day.
For a relaxing afternoon, a stroll down Papadiamantis Street is a must. There are several small shops selling clothes and accessories in island fashion, souvenir shops (because you should always take something home with you!) and craft items typical of the island.
While shopping, you can take a break and enjoy a pita, gyros or yoghurt in one of the cafés on the main street or in the alleyways.
